| Abstract | 본 논문은 시편의 제 I-III 권에 등장하는 히브리 어휘소 토브의 의미론적 뉘앙스를 연구하되 의미장(意味場: semantic field) 분석에 초점을 맞추어 진행한다. 신학적인 차원에서 중요한 단어임에도 불구 하고 오랫동안 심도 있는 연구가 이루어지지 않았음을 인식하면서 토브의 각 의미장을 분석하여 다음과 같은 세 가지 논지를 전개한다. 첫 째, 시편의 제 I-III 권에 있는 토브는 다의어로써 다섯 가지 함의를 지 닌다: (1) 윤리-도덕적 차원, (2) 언약에 기반한 신적 보상, (3) 하나님 의 신실하심, (4) 비교급, 그리고 (5) 미적 특징. 둘째, 제 I-II 권은 제 III권 보다 윤리-도덕적 측면을 더욱 강조하고 있다. 셋째, 헤세드는 언약 백성에 대한 하나님의 신실한 속성을 나타내는 반면, 토브는 헤세드의 구현된 유형/무형의 축복을 함의한다. 더 나아가 토브의 윤리 도덕적 함의를 근거로 시편을 윤리적 차원에서 이해할 수 있음을 제안한다. Considering that the previous studies of the Hebrew lexeme tov in the Psalter have been inappropriate or insufficient in light of modern linguistics, this article attempts to analyze the theological significance and the semantic nuance of the lexeme in Books I-III of the Psalter. Analyzing the semantic fields of the lexeme including its hypernyms, synonyms and antonyms, this article suggests three points in relation to the semantic nuances of tov in Books I-III. First, the lexeme concerns the five semantic fields as follows: (1) moral-ethical quality, (2) divine rewards, (3) God’s faithfulness, (4) comparative degree, and (5) aesthetic quality. Second, on the basis of the five semantic fields, Books I and II of the Psalter highlight the moral-ethical dimension a lot more than Book III. Third, the term hesed occurs more frequently in the context of God’s covenantal attribute than in the contexts of the term tov in Books I-III, while the term tov is more closely related to the expressions of the detailed spiritual benefits drawn out of the term hesed. Furthermore, on the basis of the moralethical connotation of tov used in Books I-II, I suggest that the Psalter can be read and understood from moral-ethical perspective. |
