| Abstract | 구약 역사서의 치유기사들은 다루는 인물과 질병, 치유양상의 다양함에도 불구하고 ‘치유자’를 제의의 집행이나 초자연적 능력의 행사를 통한 치유의 주체자이기보다는 하나님의 치유를 수행하는 매개자로 이해하는 시각을 공유한다. 그러나 구약성경의 치유사건을 다룬 기존의 연구 다수는 치유를 곧 ‘신유’로 자동 환치하거나 역으로 기적의 가능성을 부인하여 치유기사의 사실성을 최소화하는 접근법을 취한다. 이처럼 치유기사 자체의 서사구조에 주목하는 대신 치유의 ‘초자연적’ 성격에 관한 논의에 함몰되는 해석학적 편향성의 결과로 죄의 심판으로서의 득병(발병)과 난임의 해소 유형을 제외한 일반적인 치유기사들이 기도의 응답으로서의 치유를 드러내는 데 주력하고 있다는 사실이 가려지고 있다. 본 연구는 역사서의 대표적 치유기사들이 치유의 주체가 하나님이며 하나님의 초자연적 역사가 통상적 수단을 배재하지 않음을, 그리고 치유 서사의 주 관심사가 기도와 응답임을 제시하고자 한다. 치유기사의 해석작업이 본문의 주 관심사인 기도의 역할과 효능에 주목할 때 정경적 의도에 충실한 성경해석의 수행을 기대할 수 있을 것이다. Despite the diversity of the characters, diseases and patterns of healing they narrate, the healing narratives in the Old Testament historical books reveal the centrality of prayer by the human agent in those incidents. Numerous studies of these stories focus on the ‘supernatual’ origin, the process and veracity of those reports. Such lopsided approach neglects the fact that most healing narratives, apart from those of sickness resulting from sin and healing infertility, emphasize that healing results from prayer. An emic approach in exegesis that would pay due respect to the role and efficacy of prayer will help revitalize biblical theology true to its historic root. |
