| Abstract | 구약 학자들은 분열왕국 시대 남 유다의 선한 왕인 히스기야와 요시야의 종교 개혁을 중심으로 많은 연구를 수행했지만 바벨론의 느부갓네살의 원정과 관련하여 마지막 네 왕을 다루는 연구는 적었다. 이 논문은 여호야김의 11년 통치의 역사와 관련하여 느부갓네살이 강 건너편 지역을 지배하게 된 일련의 과정과 여러 차례 행한 원정을 살펴본다. 이 논문은 먼저 바벨론이 앗수르를 정복하고 갈그미스에서 애굽 군대를 무찌르고 강 건너편 지역을 지배하게 된 역사적 과정을 자세히 고찰한다. 느부갓네살의 갈그미스 점령이 강 건너편 지역과 어떻게 관련되어 있는지를 살핀 후, 우리는 느부갓네살의 원정과 관련하여 '하티'라는 지역의 이름이 어디를 가리키는지 유추할 수 있다. 바벨론 연대기에 자주 등장하는 '하티'는 갈그미스에서 리블라까지의 지역이라 할 수 있다. 이 논문은 강 건너편 지역에 대한 느부갓네살의 지속적인 관심의 일환으로 아돈 왕의 편지내용을 살펴본다. 우리는 아돈의 편지를 통해 강 건너편 지역을 통치하고 지배하기 시작한 느부갓네살의 위엄과 그의 통치를 받아야 했던 아돈의 대조된 모습을 본다. 마지막으로, 이 논문은 주전 601년에 바벨론과 애굽 사이의 전쟁의 결과 여호야김이 바벨론에 반역을 꾀하고, 이로 인해 주전 598/7년에 바벨론의 예루살렘 침략으로 인한 유다의 실질적 붕괴를 설명한다. 이 논문은 유다 왕국을 실질적으로 무력화시킨 바벨론의 지배와 영향력을 상세히 설명함으로써 유다 멸망의 원인을 새롭게 조명한다. 국제 정세의 흐름을 잘못 이해한 여호야김은 유다의 멸망을 앞당긴 왕이다. Old Testament scholars have conducted many studies focused on the religious reforms of Hezekiah and Josiah, who were good kings in the later Judahite monarchic period, but a few dealt with the last four kings in relation to Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. This study investigates the series of processes in which Nebuchadnezzar came to dominate the region beyond the river and the expeditions beyond the river, and examines them in relation to the history of Jehoiakim’s reign for 11 years. This thesis first examines in detail the historical process in which Babylon conquered Assyria and defeated the Egyptian army at Carchemish, thereby ruling the region beyond the river. After surveying how Nebuchadnezzar's acquisition of Carchemish correlates with the region beyond the river, we can infer where the name of the region ‘Hatti’ refers to in connection with Nebuchadnezzar's expeditions. The thesis explains that ‘Hatti’, often mentioned in Babylonian chronicles, is the region from Carchemish to Riblah. As part of Nebuchadnezzar’s continued interest in the region beyond the river, we look into the contents of king Adon's letter. Through Adon’s letter, we see the contrast between the majesty of Nebuchadnezzar, who began to rule and dominate the region across the river, and Adon, who had to be ruled by him. Finally, this thesis explains the actual collapse of Judah after the Babylonian invasion in 598/7 B.C as a result of Jehoiakim’s rebellion against Babylon in the wake of the war between Babylon and Egypt in 601 B.C. This thesis sheds new light on the cause of the destruction of Judah by explaining in detail the dominance and influence of Babylon until the destruction of the kingdom of Judah. Jehoiakim’s misjudgment in understanding the flow of the times hastened the destruction of Judah. |
