| Abstract | The Characteristics of Restoration in the Book of Ezekiel: A Text-Linguistic Analysis of Ezekiel 33. Scholars generally agree on the fact that with Ezek 33 a new major section of the book begins, which can be seen as the turning-point of the book from the massage of judgment to the massage of hope. However, it is quite strange that the messages of hope in the book of Ezekiel start with the news of fall of Jerusalem and the dissolution of Ezekiel's dumbness in Ezek 33:21. Moreover, we recognize that the tension between the total corruption of Israel in homeland (33:24-29) and in exile (33:30-33) and Ezekiel's hopeful message from chapters 33-48 should be first solved in the interpretation of the book of Ezekiel. Thus, this study suggests that a text-oriented reading of the textural complexities in Ezek 33 will help us to communicate with the text on the basis of linguistic signs found there and then, to understand the tension that mentioned above. With relation to the message of hope in Ezek 33, Israel is unable to change their tragic situation whereas God's restoration in his future design will be held by the participation of a new generation of Israel, not the one of Ezekiel's contemporary audience. So Ezekiel's message of hope can not be considered as another way of God's forgiveness for Israel's sin anymore. It also does not depend on the message of judgment. Rather, it will depend solely on God's own purposes for the future as a next step. (Park, Young Bok) 일반적으로 에스겔 33장이 ‘심판’에서 ‘회복’으로의 새로운 전환점이 된다는 사실에 대해 많은 학자들이 동의를 하고 있다. 그러나 에스겔서의 회복의 메시지들이 에스겔 33장 21절의 예루살렘 멸망 소식과 에스겔이 벙어리에서 벗어나게 되는 사실과 함께 시작된다는 점은 매우 이상한 점이다. 더욱이, 예루살렘에 생존해 있는 사람들(겔 33:24-29)과 에스겔과 함께 포로로 끌려간 사람들(겔 33:30-33)의 전적인 타락과 에스겔서 33-39장까지의 회복에 관한 메시지 사이에 미묘하게 흐르는 갈등적인 요소들은 에스겔서를 해석하는 데에 먼저 풀어야 할 과제들 중에 하나이다. 그래서 본 연구는 에스겔 33장의 본문의 이러한 복잡성을 본문 중심으로 면밀히 읽으므로서, 본문에서 발견되는 언어적 표시들을 기초로 하여 본문과 소통할 수 있도록 모색할 것이며, 이미 언급된 본문의 갈등적인 요소들을 이해하는 데에 도움을 줄 것이다. 에스겔 33장의 회복의 메시지에 관련하여, 에스겔의 동시대의 이스라엘은 그들의 비극적인 상황을 돌이킬 수 없는 반면에, 하나님께서는 그들이 아닌 새로운 세대의 이스라엘이 미래의 하나님의 회복에 참여할 수 있도록 계획하셨다. 그래서 에스겔서의 회복의 메시지는 이스라엘의 죄에 대한 하나님의 용서의 다른 형태로 간주되어질 수 없다. 뿐만 아니라, 심판의 메시지에 의존하지도 않는다. 오히려 그 다음의 단계로서 미래를 위한 하나님의 목적에 오직 의존할 뿐이다. |
